Suminagashi Japanese Paper Marbling
and
Japanese Book Binding
We will create beautiful decorated papers with the Japanese Suminagashi marbleizing technique. Then, using our beautiful marbleized papers, we will create a book/journal with a Japanese style book binding method.

Batik Dyeing
Join me and have fun learning an Indonesian fabric dyeing technique called batik.
To make a batik, selected areas of the design are blocked out by applying hot wax over them, a dye is applied on top, and the parts covered in wax resist the dye and remain the original color.
Students will create a few fabric pieces that they can use in a future project.

Foundational Drawing: Representational & Expressive
Join me and learn basic drawing techniques, build your observational skills, and have fun developing your personal drawing style !
In this class, you will explore the basics of drawing through observation. You will develop your observational skills, drawing techniques, and explore expressive drawing skills. Expressive drawing will help you discover your individual drawing style.
No prior drawing experience is required or expected.

Gelli Prints, Inks, and Paper:
create an art-filled creative sketchbook
Join me and have fun learning new techniques to create an art-filled creative sketchbook. Using a Gelli Plate, we will learn the process of creating monoprints.
You will prepare your sketchbook paper with a variety of inks, then,
fold and cut your paper to create a sketchbook.
You will apply your Gelli Plate prints will create covers, embellish, and enhance your sketchbook.
Your sketchbook will be transformed into an amazing work of art!
